Nutritional Yeast is a great source of B vitamins, trace minerals, protein and amino acids. The amino acids and vitamins help to make your dog's skin healthier and coat shinier. Nutritional yeast is often recommended by holistic vets to help strengthen dogs' immune systems and act as an anti-inflammatory.

Coconut comes in the form of coconut flour which is the flesh with the fat removed. A small amount of  desiccated coconut is added for texture and a little coconut oil for the benefits it brings. By controlling the amount of oil we can provide the goodness of coconut without the calories.
Coconut is an anti-inflammatory
and contains manganese, copper, selenium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron.

Carob is the safe alternative to chocolate for dogs - and they love it! Rich with dietary fiber, polyphenols, flavonoids, cyclitols, (like d-pinitol) and tannins. These compounds have been associated with a variety of health benefits including, glycemic (blood sugar) control and cholesterol reduction. it also contains vitamins A, B1 and iron. Carob is a non-dairy source of calcium.

Bananas - maybe the nicest way for dogs to get a good supply of potassium, a vital mineral that helps normalise the heartbeat and regulate the body’s water balance. Bananas also contain vitamins B6 and C, magnesium, copper and manganese.

Also known as a ‘Mood Food’ - happy dogs all round.

Flaxseed is high in essential fatty acids and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, it appears to improve mobility. What’s more, it helps regulate other important functions in your dog, including blood pressure, kidney and artery function. As a bonus it benefits skin and coat condition.

Charcoal - has the ability to absorb many times its own weight in toxins and aids digestion by neutralising stomach gases. It also keeps breath fresh. I only use Hatchwells pharmaceutical grade charcoal for safety as it is made especially for animals.

Quinoa is a complete protein, super rich in nutrients yet less energy dense so fewer calories. It contains manganese - essential for metabolism, iron, phosphorus, copper, folate, magnesium and zinc, plus lysine for tissue growth and repair. Quinoa also contains several antioxidants, it deserves its reputation as a super food.

Spirulina contains significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, zinc, magnesium, B vitamins and iron. It assists the body in flushing out toxins, including heavy metals, and boosts the immune system. Spirulina is high in protein.

Peanut Butter is high in protein, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc, niacin and B6, it is also high in good fats. The brand we use contains only peanuts without sugar, sweeteners or salt. Unsalted peanut butter has a great potassium-to-sodium ratio. More info here:

Carrots are loaded with beta-carotene, an anti-oxidant that supports healthy vision. They are high in fibre, vitamins A, K and B6, and also contain biotin, potassium and protein. A very low fat addition to your dog's treats and adding some welcome sweetness to the turmeric it is paired with.

Turmeric is well known as an anti-inflammatory and powerful anti-oxidant. The active ingredient is curcumin and we add olive oil to this particular treat to magnify it's abilities.  It also contains calcium, flavonoids, fibre, iron, niacin, potassium and zinc.
If your dog is starting to get stiff joints, we highly recommend you investigate the benefits of turmeric.

Tiger Nut Flour is simply ground whole tiger nuts with nothing taken away.  It is really high in fibre and a great source of resistant starch which is broken down into a prebiotic serving as an energy source for beneficial gut bacteria.
It also contains
iron, potassium, protein, magnesium, zinc and vitamins E and C and although it is actually a tiny tuber, it has a wonderfully nutty flavour.
